Disclaimer: I was not paid to review this product, I swear. I just wanted to review this because I LHOVEEE L'Occitane like there is no tomorrow and love all their products, that I had to just review this and introduct you all to how wonderful L'Occitane is! Now I may be getting ahead of myself, but before I give away what I think about the products I received from L'Occitane, I just wanted to say all these opinions are completely my own and I can swear by it
L'Occitane Gift Story
This first part is the story of receiving the gift in general, so if you want to know the actual review, skip below with the heading "Oh So Luxe: L'Occitane Review." Anyways, I hope you have fun reading!=)
Now I remember seeing in an email that I could receive a free gift from L'Occitane! Oh my goodness.... GIRL YA'LL KNOW HOW MY FACE WAS AFTER SEEING THHHISS!! Dang! I was, gurl, oh my goodness, don't get me started on how excited I was, basically I couldn't control my excitement in public when I saw this. Anyways, first things first I had to pick this up anytime before the date of Feb 28. A few days later, when I went to the store to pickup my free lovely gift, I already knew all the products inside would be perfect, but the saleslady let me sample all the products first and she explained to me how each on worked for the skin before receiving the gift. Soon after the sampling, she let me roam around the quaint small store in a busy mall that was filled with skin goodies like lotions, their oil cleansers, etc. This was good, especially just in case I'd want to buy something else. Of course I am broke and I knew that I didn't have money to spend, but it never hurts to look around. You know at least for future reference sake. Heh!
Anyways, when I was finally done roaming around the store, I just told the lady and received the proudct... FOR FREE! :) Since, again that I am broke ya'll know how excited I was and couldn't wait to take advantage of this perfect opportunity!
Now time for the actual review! That same day I have received the products I just had the use them right away and have been for a while now. I love each of the products equally so much! Now the items that came in the box as seen in the pictures above, was a Shea cleansing oil, a Shea Dry Skin hand cream, and lastly one divine cream bottle. I hoenestly of course couldn't wait to try each product so it is no wonder I had to try it right that day when I had received the products! Each product comes in a travel or trial size, but it is still worth it, especially since a little for each product goes a long way, literally. I loved the size of each one though because I can stash them in my bag and still keep my bag oh so light, as same to that on my skin (not to give the review away). Hah!
Before I forget too, also in the box, the saleslady included in a coupon for 10% off and you all know, I am definitely going to find a way to make use of that coupon bish! EH HEH!
Finally, I'll explain each product in depth now, so without further a due here ya go...
Oh So Luxe: L'Occitane Review
Shea Dry Skin Hand Cream
This hand creams from L'Occitane always works for my skin, even more so when my skin is cracked and dry, especially during Winter. L'Occitane always has hand creams that work for my skin no matter what the type of scent is it never seems to irritate my skin ever. In short, this hand cream is rather so velvety smooth on my skin when rubbed on. It actually thoroughly infuses in my skin with its vitamins and I can smell the light scent of the 20% shea inside the lotion making my skin even softer. Now my skin is actually super sensitive even with scents so this product says a lot since it doesn't irritate me skin. This practically means that L'Occitane uses real shea in this lotion. However in general, real shea is really good for skin in general so it is no wonder why this lotion especially worked so greatly on my skin better than regular lotions.
Pros: Smoothes dry skin leaving it supple and soft for hours and doesn't irritate sensitive skin.
Cons: Packaging is a bit of a con because: the top is sometimes hard to open. =/
Anti-Aging Divine Cream
This next product is rather super light, but smooth as well. Many have used this product and said that its properties of anti-aging really seems to work and is also perfect for those of you with acne prone skin. This product for me at least seems to do the same. I noticed the difference in my skin having more circulation, an even toned skin on my face, and a bright and visible natural glow. Even the saleslady had told me that this cream gives you a glow, I tried it and it seems to be true. This is mostly due to the product giving my skin better circulation, it is light in which doesn't give off heavy residue with harsh chemicals, hence these chemicals clogging pores and giving blackheads. This product does the complete opposite and actually left me skin looking youthful and having the qualities of being supple, smooth, glowful and even tone on my skin. Lastly, I noticed my blackheads and acne have been diminishing so far! So in short, the more I keep using this the more it will eventually all go away! Thank goodness, a perfect product that works rather instantly! Praise that!
Pros: Gives skin an even and glowing tone. It also is good for acne prone skin (controls oils on skin), leaves skin supple and soft without any residue.
Cons: For some reason, again none!=) I swear by it!
Shea Cleansing Oil
Of course that cliche statement comes in now, "Last, but certainly not least" the shea cleansing oil! Oh girl! I just want to start off by saying this is my favorite prized possession or holy grail if you will. Little did I know that cleansing oils were a thing until I received this free gift! The cleansing oil collection that L'Occitane has to offer are so unique and so just perfect! Oh my goodness! I am amazed by this product. Now don't get me wrong, the other two products are perfect, but I am amazed by this for a few reasons. One reasoning being that I didn't know cleansing oils were a thing, but also because they are light and DON'T HURT YOUR EYES! YERP, AGAIN: THEY DON'T HURT YOUR EYES! If you don't know too what cleansing oils do, then keep reading.
Cleansing oils are used to wipe away makeup and any impurities or residue settled on your skin. First of all, you can use this oil to wipe off eye makeup and again won't hurt your eyes, but you can use this oil as is or with water. When you put this oil mixed with water, it creates a rich lathering milky product and still doesn't hurt eyes! AHHH! Anyway, please excuse my excitedness. The oil is so light and soft when you lather it on your skin and when you mix it with water is foamy and still so soft. This product didn't irritat my skin at all either. Now when you then wash your face with just plain clear water you will feel the magic really happening. Once the oil was thoroughly washed on my skin, the product left my skin incredibly soft, incredibly supple youthful, and for the first time ever actually made my skin literally feel like a baby's bottom. Weird comparison I know, but the results were incredibly rich and it felt like I had put olive oil on my skin. This cleansing oil also doesn't fail to give me a rich glow and not an oily glow, but a natural beauty glow.
Pros: Gives skin an even glow and softest most supple velvety skin you can possibly think off. Also, it doesn't irritate sensitive skin. Good for oily skin to help wipe away impurities.
Cons: None, completely none again I swear and promise at the same time. =)
I hope you guys can grab a free sample too. Get them free before Feb. 28, 2017! I re-assure all of you, no matter the skin type, that you surely won't be disappointed =)
This free gift could also make a perfect gift to pamper yourself with and again hey it is free. I also hope you somehow found this post inspiring to pamper yourselves with great skin products or at least found this helpful if you were thinking about trying L'Occitane.
